When does it make sense to hire a Professional Photographer for Real Estate?

Many Real Estate Agents and Realtors rely on themselves and their phones or small

cameras to photograph their listings, and sometimes this is the right call. Agents often feel like they are saving a few bucks by doing things themselves and that the results are "good enough" for the task at hand. But when does it make sense to forgo the DIY attitude and hire a professional for real estate photos and video?

There are two main factors to consider when deciding whether to DIY or hire a pro.

1) Time

Your time is precious and the one thing you can't make more of. If you find yourself too busy or short on time, hiring out your real estate photos and videos make a lot of sense. Especially if that means either more time with family, or more time working on other aspects of your business. Hiring a pro can save you time and make you more money by allowing you to focus on other aspects of your business.

2) When "good enough" isn't good enough

"Good enough", isn't always the right answer. Especially for properties with a higher price tag. If a high-end property doesn't look it's best in photos and videos, it won't attract the best clients. Clients who are used to high quality, will instantly be put off by sub-par media. These same clients will also appreciate and connect with quality photos and videos on a deeper level.

What other benefits are there to hiring a pro?

Having quality photos and videos makes your life as an agent easier.

Having a full suite of professionally created media for a property means that clients and buyers can create a strong connection with a property even before reaching out to an agent. This helps drive active leads your way, people who are ready to buy! Imagine spending less time showing properties and more time closing deals because the clients that were attracted to the property via the photos and videos,

already know exactly what they are getting before ever setting foot on the property!

Conclusion

As with most things in life there is a time to DIY and a time to hire a professional.
